Vintage Halloween Paper Mache Pulp Cat-On-A-Fence and A Smaller Pumpkin Jack O Lantern, ca. 1940s, All-Original

This listing is for a wonderful pair of vintage paper mache jack-o-lanterns. One is in the shape of a cat face painted orange with black whiskers. Paper insert with green eyes and red mouth. Wire hanger. "O" shape embossed at the bottom. I would guess this is from the 1930s to 1940s.

The other smaller lantern is in the shape of a pumpkin and has a tin metal candle holder secured to the inside base.

Condition:
Good vintage condition. Most significant damage on the cat is to the ear tips where the orange exterior has been worn away. The mouth part of the paper is torn but the paper holds its shape well. The smaller pumpkin is a little worn at the edge where it had been stapled together during production. Please see detailed photos for condition. Overall, these are still great pieces for Halloween!
