This listing is for a set 10 vintage Italian made teacups and saucers in majolica decorated by hand in Garofano (Carnation) style. The Garofano, designed in Faenza in the 18th century, is a very popular decoration for tableware.
Bottoms have stickers that read, "Maioliche C.A.C.F. Faenza Dipinte A Mano".
There are 6 regular size teacups and 4 small size teacups.
They are beautifully hand painted with red and blue flowers with fauna. A nice touch of hand painted botanicals to add a touch of rustic to your space.
In the photo of the plates taken from above, some plates at the left are washed out by the light from the flash, but they look the same in real life as the other plates.
Small Demitasse: 3 inches diameter (holds 2.5oz)
Larger teacups: 4 inches diameter (holds 5oz)
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing (see photos).
Lead glaze: unknown.
