Large Thermos Pitcher - Ribbed Stainless Steel Metal Coffee Thermal Jug with Copper and Black Stripes - Space Age Atomic Decor

This is a wonderfully shaped stainless steel thermal pitcher.

There are two available - the smaller one is available in a separate listing.

Bottom stamped, "Made in Hong Kong".

You will see a camel imprint on the thermos.

The Wie Yit company made this piece and the company was started by the Leung family in the 1940's. It named its factory in Hong Kong, 'Camel House' (no connection with Camel Cigarettes) because they accepted that the company would have to be like the camel and have the ability to go through harsh conditions to be successful. Wei Yit was the first local factory to make deep-drawn 18/8 stainless steel hollow ware in the 60's and in 1986, a custom-designed factory was built. Today they still produce vacuum ware and it's still under the ownership of the Leung family. Good luck logo, donchathink?
