A quirky, vintage Modernist majolica glazed ceramic soup tureen decorated in the shape of a large fish with brown and burgundy glazes.
Retaining its original 'dorsal fin' lid and ladle. The underside stamped with the French "Sarreguemines" hallmark. Area of Eastern France, circa 1960.
Condition: Great. No cracks or chips or crazing. There is a glaze imperfection on the bottom inside where a pice of small ceramic was caight under the glaze in the making. See detailed photos for condition.
